This is my No Pressure Carnival Act – if you’re interested, read on, if not, skip me. This is the only time I’m mentioning this until sometime in 2010.
If you noticed I added two tabs to the navigation bar, a Questions tab and a Things I Do tab. They’ll be explained shortly. Also at the bottom of the sidebar I’ve added some affiliate products that I whole heartedly endorse. (Why you ask? Read on if you’re interested.)
Questions
Whether it’s blogging, technical, personal, coaching, or whatever, please hit this little tab in the navigation bar and drop a question to me.
I’m happy to help you out, because you are giving me your time by showing up and reading here.
Please be aware below lies madness, or at least offerings of services that cost money, so if you’re not up for that right now, just skip it.
Things I Do
This is where I showcase the incredible talents that I perform for spare change.
I perform consulting tricks like wrangling a WordPress installation, pulling a Social Media plan for a business out of thin air, revealing the mysterious secrets to AWeber E-Mail Marketing, and other technical junk that drives you insane.
I offer the couching secrets of the ages – or well, the ages I’ve absorbed in 26 years; whether you want to unearth the inner passions that fuel a creative venture, learn the contortionist tricks to escape the chains of a job you despise, or discover the golden principles from which to live your life.
I teach the ancient art of The Dance Nomad, releasing the wandering mystical powers of hot jazz that’ll make your feet burn.
All seriousness aside, if you’re interested, I have a few things to offer to help you, your business or your rhythm. Otherwise just ignore that button.
Affiliate Products
I know I’ve mentioned my general distaste with Affiliate Programs but I’m going to come clean and say that I’ve done it, I’ve gotten myself involved in a few Affiliate Programs.
Why you ask?
Because running a website and a blog costs a bit of money. Also the effort and time I put into creating posts, is well, at least a part time job that I really enjoy. If I make a bit of cash on the side from it that can buy me a Chai or a glass of wine, all the better. That’s usually what I drink when I write anyways.
So what are they?
The Affiliate products or programs linked in the bottom right sidebar I’ve used myself. I’ve met nearly all of the individuals in person whose products I advertise and they are good hard working people who provide excellent services and products with a great deal of passion.
In addition, I continue to get value out of all of these products and programs, far more than the cost of the program or product itself and far after the initial buyers high. If that weren’t the case I definitely wouldn’t promote them on my site.
Project Mojave
I’ve been in Project Mojave since before it went public back in March 2009, since then there have been two rounds of new members. I’ve learned about market selection, keyword research, product development, online business strategy, and sales process from Project Mojave. Clay Collins is a man of purpose and passion and he pours himself into helping making Project Mojave better every day for the members of its community. It helped me develop and launch my first online business and we had a rocking conference out in the Mojave Desert, I mean what online marketing conference does that?
31 Days to Building a Better Blog
If you run a blog, perchance you’ve heard of Darren Rowse. He runs one of the biggest Professional Blogging websites out there and it just so happens to be named, ProBlogger.net. He used to run a 31 day e-mail series entitled 31 Days to Building a Better Blog and in that he details strategies and methods to make your blog more successful and keep you on writing. This e-book is a compilation of those e-mails with a lot of additional information packed in. It’s been useful many times through my blogging career.
Bottom Line Book Club
The Bottom Line Book Club is a series offered by Cath Duncan which began with her reviewing various personal development books and then offering a writeup of the most important topics in the book. It also incudes a workbook which guides you through various exercises to actively learn the information in the book, and an interview with either the author or another expert. If you want to deeply invest yourself in learning from some of the best personal development books and experts out there without having to constantly wonder if the book you picked up is worth it, the Bottom Line Book Club is a great offer.
Creating Fame
I remember when Laura Roeder first put out the word for her Creating Fame webinar. I sat myself down and took notes for the whole hour of the free webinar and then listened to what was being offered in the full course. I looked once at my bank account and then twice at the cost, maybe three times, and then sent the e-mail confirming my Opt-In for the full package. The Creating Fame program isn’t for the light of heart, and I didn’t dive in immediately as I should have, but a few months down the line (read six or seven) it really paid off. The course is packed with information on social media marketing, blog setup, tribe and community engagement and has helped me in every business I’ve set up and helped others build.
